Decanter World Wine Awards 2010

The 2010 logo is not yet available

The judging for the 2010 Decanter World Wine Awards will be held in London from Monday 26th to Friday 30th April. The number of Loire entries for the 2009 edition were considerably up on previous years, especially the number of red Loires that were entered. Am hoping that this trend will continue.

Jim, Did I not notice it or is the Atom RSS feed new? Anyway, it's a great advantage to the blog.

....or do you mean the weather map?

Sorry to have confused you Jim, at the bottom of the page it reads-- Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)-- allowing anyone to follow your posts on an RSS reader. I hadn't noticed it before today, it must of been added by Blogger??
The weather map is a good addition too.

I have to score this post a 50/100. Extreme yawn. Worst post ever on this blog. Wait, let me think of even meaner things to say...

...is this a paid advert by Decanter? Are your readers supposed to mark this date in their Calendar, and then fly in to watch the Judges judge? (Could it get better than that?!)

Finally, I am SO DISAPPOINTED that "the 2010 logo is not yet available" - I will not be able to sleep well until it becomes available.

Jack - fair comment as the post originally stood. Had intended to link up with posts of the 2009 judging but you got in first. Hope the post is a little more interesting now.

As regional chair for the Loire I'm keen to see producers enter their wines in the competition.
