Portraits from around London wine trade today

Nick Martin of Wine Owners (above and below)

Today started with a very useful meeting with Nick Martin of Wine Owners, an on-line that allows you to keep tabs on your cellar as well as providing a wine trading platform. Rather unexpectedly Nick and Wine Owners are finding that they are being contacted by people who have paid too much for their investment wines from companies like Vinance plc, European Fine Wine Ltd, Moncharm and Imperial Fine Wines Ltd.

Entering details of wines in your portfolio on the Wine Owners allows you to see price movements since 2007 and gauge what your wines are worth. The Wine Owners site has many useful applications but may well be very useful for investors burnt by unscrupulous 'wine investment' companies both showing how badly you have been stung but also providing a means for selling the wines.
